A little History.
DANIEL "EL campeon" OLIVARES
THE FOUNDER
As a first-generation Angeleno, Daniel’s passion and relentless drive to innovate shaped his journey from the very beginning. In 2019, he opened his first coffee shop in the community of South Gate — a place built on love, hard work, and the dream of bringing people together over coffee.
Every day, Daniel immersed himself in the craft — roasting, tasting, learning — all while giving back to the community that raised him. El Cielito Café became more than a shop; it became a home for connection, culture, and stories.
Then the COVID-19 pandemic came, and like so many small businesses, Daniel had to close his doors. It was heartbreaking — but his love for coffee never faded.
Time passed. One day, an order arrived for roasted coffee, along with a message inviting him to a call. Curious, Daniel answered. On the other end were Memo and Max, carrying an idea — something fresh, different, and full of heart.
In that moment, Daniel knew the journey wasn’t over — it was just beginning again.
Angeleno Coffee Company was born — and the revolution is brewing once again.
MAX & MEMO
THE "COHORT'S"
Memo, a local entrepreneur and food truck owner of Memito’s Burritos, was born and raised in East Los Angeles. Alongside him is Max, a passionate advocate for financial literacy from the City of Bell. The two met while working in the financial industry, where they became great friends — discovering they shared one powerful thing in common: a deep love for coffee and their local community.
After years of dreaming and countless conversations about opening their own coffee shop, they realized they couldn’t do it alone. That’s when they reached out to Daniel, a familiar face in the City of South Gate, where Max often stopped for his daily brew.
A few calls, a few meetings, and a lot of heart later — it was done.
Angeleno Coffee Company was born.

THE ICE CREAM TRUCK
“Now, this is our baby — a dream brewed from warmth and roots. Welcome to something new, something different — a journey that carries the aroma of Latin America to every city and every heart we meet. We come not just to pour coffee, but to share stories, smiles, and the love that lives in every bean.”
